This album was made using jAlbum, Version 23.2.4 It used to be a free open source album generator, but now there is small membership fee. The skin is Galleria. There are literally hundreds of skins
available, but many of them are buggy or simply do not work in some browsers.
This one however is fine. Nice clean and simple interface and works in all the major browsers. You can hack its'
style sheet to change most of the visual presentation.
Perhaps one of the reasons for it's success is that "under the hood", it is powered by jQuery, possibly the best Javascript library currently available.
The look and layout of this site are provided by a template made using Artisteer. CSS to the max !
A problem with iFrames
jAlbum produces stand alone web pages. You don't need a website to see the album. But most people like to see their website heading / menu / footer etc etc wrapped around their album(s). The standard, easy way to accomplish this is to run jAlbum in an iFrame. I have been doing this for years on a variety of webservers, without any problems. But now I'm using a Synology NAS ( a DS218 ) running from home as my web server, and it does not like iFrames. You see a white square where the iFrame content should be.
The forums have questions about this from users, but no one has an answer. Synology themselves have said nothing, which to me means that by accident or design, this NAS does not support iFrames and never will
So....click on the link below to see the album running as a stand alone web page. There's a link at the top which will bring you back to this page.
